As part of the “Green Munroe, Clean Munroe” initiative, a meeting was convened by the Munroe Island Panchayat Secretary on Friday, 1st August 2025.
During the meeting, it was decided that a mass cleanliness campaign will be conducted on Monday, 4th August 2025.
This island-wide cleanup drive will see the active participation of homestay owners, canoe operators, resort proprietors, Haritha Karma Sena teams, and various government officials. The collective effort aims to enhance the ecological well-being and aesthetic charm of Munroe Island, reinforcing the community’s commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism.
